Web Developer

Come work for the Office of Research Computing!

The web developer will develop and maintain web applications for the Office of Research Computing (https://rc.byu.edu), formerly known as the Fulton Supercomputing Lab. We have a wide variety of applications; some of them monitor and manage the supercomputers, visually map temperature and batch job data, integrate with BYU web services, and other interesting things.

Job closes: August 4, 2024

See To Apply section below for application instructions.

Hours and Pay

Employee is expected to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters, with the option for up to 40 hours during the Spring and Summer terms. We are pretty flexible about what schedule you pick each semester, but we ask that you stick to the agreed upon schedule as much as possible (except illness, emergencies, etc).

Starting pay range is $18-19 per hour depending on experience. Future pay raises may bring you beyond that based on job performance.

Note that most student employees are exempt from FICA taxes. If a student is exempt, it means they get 7.65% more in their checks than what they could receive working off campus where they are subject to the FICA tax.
